CSR Policy
1.Statutory Compliance
- ① Mitani Shoji and its employees shall, in good faith, comply with the international code of conduct, the laws of each country where we operate, and the company’s own regulations and rules while refraining from engaging in any unjust acts, in order to facilitate the company’s business activities with integrity.
- ② Mitani Shoji and its employees shall not engage in any acts that negatively affect their normal transactional relationships with business partners, including over-the-top service, provision and reception of gifts, provision of financial and other benefits, etc.
- ③ Mitani Shoji and its employees shall not engage in any acts that are in conflict with the company’s interests, including transacting with any of the company’s competitors, business partners, or other companies while seeking to make personal gains. Our employees shall also perform their duties in a clean and sincere manner while clearly distinguishing between their professional and personal lives.
- ④ Mitani Shoji and its employees shall not engage in any insider trading based on information we become privy to at work or in any other acts that could be suspected as insider trading.
2.Labor

- ② Compliance with all applicable industrial safety and health laws, other requirements, and internal regulations shall be ensured.
- ③ The company shall systematically plan and implement employee education, training, etc., on industrial safety and health in an effort to improve their awareness of the topic. It shall also facilitate their self-initiated activities to promote the creation of a comfortable work environment and prevent injuries and physical and mental illnesses.

- ① At all work locations, activities shall be facilitated to prevent public hazards and environmental pollution, conserve resources and energy, reduce industrial waste, promote recycling, and protect biological diversity and ecosystems.
- ② In all business activities, consideration shall be given to their effects on the environment at all times while complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and actively tackling environmental issues.
6.Quality
A company-wide structure of quality improvement activities shall be established while conducting quality analysis, improvement guidance, and periodical internal audits to achieve further quality improvement and continuously facilitate comprehensive quality improvement activities.
7.Information Security
- ① The company and its employees shall strictly protect all information that is handled in their operations and refrain from divulging, inappropriately disclosing, or using for unintended purposes any such information.
- ② The company and its employees shall properly handle and protect all personal information.
8.BCP
- ① All risks of emergency events shall be identified, monitored, and prepared for, including natural disasters, virulent contagious diseases, conflicts, internal accidents, infrastructure or labor issues, etc., so that the company’s supply of products to its customers will not be disrupted by them.
- ② If an emergency event occurs, the damage shall be minimized while swiftly implementing recovery measures and communicating appropriate information to all interested parties (employees, business partners, shareholders, and local communities).
9.Conflict Minerals
- ① No conflict minerals shall be used that are causing human rights violations, environmental destruction, etc., and used as the source of funding by armed insurgents.
- ② Request shall be made for all suppliers to abstain from using any conflict minerals.
- ③ If use of any conflict mineral is found, a request to take corrective action shall be immediately made. If no improvement is deemed likely, the company’s transaction with the supplier shall be terminated with the consent of the customers.
10.Management Structure
A review shall be conducted on whether this CSR policy is being complied with and properly implemented, while proper actions shall be taken to deal with specified risks.
Representation to Eliminate Anti-social Forces
Article1:The company represents that it currently does not fall under the following items below and guarantees and warrants that it will not fall under them in the future.
- ① That it is not an organized crime group, a member or associate member of an organized crime group, a private enterprise or group affiliated with an organized crime group, a corporate racketeer, a crime group conducting its operations under the pretext of social campaigns or political activities, a crime group specializing in intellectual crimes, or any other type of anti-social force (hereinafter collectively referred to as “anti-social force(s)”, including such case where information is provided by police that it qualifies as an anti-social force).
- ② That none of the company’s officers or employees is an anti-social force. Also, none of the company’s shareholders or any other party that effectively controls the company is an anti-social force.
- ③ That none of the company’s officers or employees is, directly or indirectly, through a third party, engaged in an act of violence, fraud or intimidation, operational disruption, or other unlawful act.
- ④ That none of the company’s officers or employees is involved with an anti-social force by providing funding or any other benefit, etc.
- ⑤ That none of the company’s officers or employees is using an anti-social force or has a relationship with an anti-social force that should be socially condemned.
Article2:The company shall cooperate with any investigation that is conducted by any of its business partners having an importantly interested relationship with the company to verify the company’s status concerning the paragraphs of Article 1.
Article3:The company shall have all its contractors and suppliers conform to the paragraphs of Article 1.
Article4:If the company is determined to be, or could be, in violation of any of the paragraphs of Article 1, it shall immediately notify all its business partners with whom it has importantly interested relationships.
